Southside Art Center’s visual and performing arts studios provide new choices for adults with developmental disabilities. Our Arts Program is a vibrant, exciting and progressive program, designed to bring out the talents and abilities of our artists, and to develop self-confidence through artistic expression.

Our visual arts program includes painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, wire sculpture, knitting, digital art and many other choices. We encourage our artists to create their own projects and methods of working, in order to develop their artistic voice.

Many of our artists choose to exhibit and sell their art at Southside Art Center Gallery and other community exhibitions in the Sacramento area. The artists at Southside have a great time creating art, and many are empowered from their artwork that is sold.
